Finca Isla Memories ...

Which all began due to
record-breaking Hurricane Otto

Our trip to Tortuguero, on the Caribbean side,
was cancelled,
so we had to scramble to find

Pura Vida at Finca Isla

Owner Josh driving to town to request electric repair after Hurricane Otto

VERY rustic lodge with 5 "cabinas" on old 80 acre coffee plantation

See the rain... we had plenty over Thanksgiving from the hurricane

A peek into our 2 bedroom / 1 bathroom cabina - cute!

Quentin & Clare - a friendly & fun couple from France. We had FUN with them!

I LOVE buying local wines from Chile and Argentina

Typical Costa Rican "Tico" breakfast of rice, black beans, eggs & ham. Hot sauce & a cold cerveza (beer) is a perfect fit!

Next up .... the animals ...
